Goaltending Training – WBS Jr Knights 2021-2022 Season

The Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Jr Knights continue their partnership with Pierson Performance Goaltending (PPG) for the 2021-2022 season.

Pierson joined the Knights in the 2020 season and introduced structure and great experience to the Knights program.  Under Pierson’s leadership, all lesson plans are coordinated well in advance and catered to the specific needs of the goalkeeper by age group and skill level.

Additionally, Mr. Pierson serves as a member of USA Hockey’s instructor staff where he provides coaching tools and resources to coaches throughout the Atlantic District to develop goaltenders throughout the United States.

Coach Andrei Svistunov – WBS Jr Knights Goaltending Coach 

Coach Svistunov is the goaltender coach of the WBS Knights. As a native of Moscow, Russia, Svistunov played youth hockey for the WBS Knights prior to joining the Buffalo State Bengals. 

Svistunov racked up an impressive 92% and 80% save percentage in the net for the WBS Knights and Bengals respectively.

Coach Svistunov will provide goaltending training for the Knights program.
